Join the Dream Team

We love to see people work in their God-given talents and passions! Whether that's behind-the-scenes or in front of people, there's a place for you to serve.

Home group host

Home groups are critical part of how we're helping people grow in their relationship with God through community.

Hosting a home group requires only that you're willing to open your home to 10 - 15 people one night each week for 1 - 2 hours.

You don't need to prepare food, teach, lead worship, or have any special equipment. Just be willing to open your home for people to gather to talk about the Bible and invite your friends to join us.

Don't have enough seating? We have chairs we can bring or folks can sit on the floor!

First impressions

From the moment a guest sees the church building til they find their seat, the first impressions team is here to make sure that they feel cared for.

You might see someone on the first impressions team wearing a smile and holding a sign in the parking lot to welcome people or they might be checking in kids for the nursery.

You don't need to have an extroverted personality but you do need to be friendly!

Security

We want people to feel safe when they're at Hope City. Our security team is responsible for ensuring that only authorized individuals go into the kids' ministry area and that no one is wandering through areas of the building we don't have access to. In doing so, we can make sure that everyone – from the littlest to the oldest – has a safe experience here.

Café

Before and after service, our goal is for the café to be the prime spot for people to hang out and get to know each other.

We need help setting up the cafe, making the coffee, and actively working it to make sure people feel welcomed when they stop by to get a drink and snacks.

If you love a good cup of coffee and good conversation, this is a fantastic place for you to serve!

Nursery

The nursery is a vibrant and loving space designed for the youngest members of our church, aged 2 to 4.

Our dedicated team creates a nurturing environment where toddlers can explore their budding curiosity and build foundational connections with their faith.

Through age-appropriate activities, play, and gentle guidance, we strive to foster a sense of belonging and introduce these precious little ones to the joy of God's love in a safe and supportive setting.

If you want to help lay the groundwork for a lifelong relationship with Christ, the nursery is a great place to serve.

Note: Serving in the nursery requires that you pass a background check.

Media

Elevate your skills and creativity by joining Hope City's dynamic Media Team, where audio, visuals, and photography converge to create a powerful impact.

As a vital part of our church's storytelling, your passion for capturing moments, crafting visuals, or mastering audio can contribute significantly to enhancing our worship experiences.

Join us in this exciting journey to visually and audibly amplify the message of hope, and let your talents be the lens through which others see and hear the transformative power of God's love.

Note:
  • Media team members serving in a Sunday service are expected to be involved in set-up and teardown.
  • Media team members interested in design or photography will need to submit samples of their work to Pastor Holly and be committed to consistently developing their skills.

Music

Your passion for music can become a powerful tool for lifting up the name of Jesus and ushering our community into His presence.

Join us in creating an atmosphere where authentic, whole-hearted worship can thrive, bringing joy, strength, and transformative experiences to our church family.

Your unique talents are not just welcomed; they are an essential part of amplifying God's greatness through the harmonious blend of truth and melody.

Note:
  • Music team members will have to meet with Pastor Holly to demonstrate their skills on their given instrument (voices included).
  • The music team requires a commitment to personal practice and team rehearsals, as well as our platform guidelines (which we'll share with you).
  • The music team will also be involved in set-up and teardown.

Translation

Our vision is to be a multilingual church where all generations can worship together.

To make that possible, we need people who are willing to help with live translation during the preaching.

You don't need to be a perfect translator but you should be willing to match the speaker's energy and do your best to offer a translation that's as close to what's spoken as possible.

I'm not sure...

Not sure where you fit in?

That's not a problem at all!

We have a giftings test that's perfect for helping us understand areas that you'd thrive in.

Plus, if you try something out and it doesn't work for you, that's totally okay! We'll keep working to find the perfect place for you because we believe God led you here and has a plan for your life and we want to be part of that journey!

What role on the Dream Team were you made for?

Did any of the options stand out to you? Tell us where you'd like to serve and we'll work on a schedule that balances involvement with opportunities to rest and focus on being poured into.
