A new church can be intimidating

We understand, because we've all been there. We hope this page helps you know what to expect and to prepare for your visit to Hope City Church. First, just know there is no pressure from us to perform.

Be yourself!

Being authentic is a core value of ours. You'll find people from all walks of life at Hope City. Some of us are bold and talkative, while others are reserved, but warm.

Whether you are new to your faith, or are a longtime follower of Jesus, you belong here!

When you arrive

The building we rent is HUGE and has a million entrances. Okay, more like four.

Skip the front and side entrances (unless you need an accessible entrance, then use the ramp entrance on Wayland).

Go to the back of the building via Hobart and you'll find a parking lot. There will be a feather flag marking the parking lot entrance.

When you walk through that rear entrance, the restrooms are on the left and the welcome desk and worship center are straight ahead.

Before service

If this is your first time, please fill out a connect card at the welcome desk so we can follow up with you.

Make sure you grab a hot beverage from the Hope City Café, catch up with friends, and then find a seat.

You can even bring your drink to your chair if you'd like!

Once you’re seated, say hello to a neighbor.

Making new friends at Hope City is one of our favorite things - this is home after all. We don’t take ourselves too seriously. We want to laugh, have fun, and enjoy life together.

Worship

Our services typically last an hour and a half.

You can expect service to begin with prayer, and to continue with genuine, spirit-led worship.

Words to the songs will be on the screen. Join in as you feel comfortable.

Our hope is that you sense the presence of God.

Ministry

After worship, you'll hear teaching from the Bible that's practical, spiritual, and relevant to everyday life.

Get a feel for what that looks like in this video, where Pastors Josh & Holly unpack what the Bible says about real, lasting love and relationships.

After the message, we take time to pray individually, responding to the Word of God in faith, as well as ministering to one another.

At the very end of service, our congregation also takes part in giving a weekly offering as our final act of worship.

For your convenience, you can give online,  through our app, via snail mail, or by dropping it into an offering drop box. There is no pressure to give.

How about my kids?

Currently, Hope City Kids is especially geared for toddlers, ages 2-4 years old, and goes from right after worship to the very end of service.

The heart of kids' ministry at our church is to teach kids about who God is and how His word applies to their lives in creative and memorable ways.

We're currently building out programming for older kids. Reach out if you have questions about bringing yours!

Hi, we're Pastors Josh and Holly. We're so glad you're here!

We believe that you are uniquely created by God for a specific purpose, and that unless you figure out what that purpose is, you’ll never truly be fulfilled.

No one else on earth can fulfill the unique calling that God has for you.

Maybe you know exactly what your purpose is, maybe you’ve been running from it for a while, or maybe you have absolutely no idea where to even start looking for it…

But we want to help you find it.

Because we believe that the ones who don’t think that they can make an impact are the ones that God chooses to use to change the world.

We hope that you'll join us for a Sunday service to experience God's presence and discover His purpose for your life.

Can't wait to see you there!

If something on this page resonated with you, the best next step is just showing up.

Fill out the form and we'll send you everything you need before Sunday.
