Anger and Unforgiveness

Jun 21, 2026    Pastor Holly Smith

In the 2006 World Cup Final, Zinedine Zidane was minutes from the end of his career on the greatest stage in the world. Something was said to him. He turned around, headbutted the player who said it, and walked off the pitch past the World Cup trophy on a red card.

Most of us have something we've been holding against someone for years. A real offense that hardened over time into something settled and cold, shaping how we see not just that person but every relationship after them.

In this session, Pastor Holly shares how her mother left in the middle of the night when she was ten years old, and what it was like to carry years of anger she didn't have words for. We look at a parable Jesus tells in Matthew 18 about a man who walked out of a room where his entire debt was cancelled and immediately went looking for someone who owed him.

If you're carrying something you've never been able to put down, this is for you.
